Periods, Pregnancy, Abortion, and Your Digital Security

This presentation was created for a webinar in collaboration with Reproaction, presented on July 30, 2021 and titled Periods, Pregnancy, Abortion, and Your Digital Security. While it may feel private to browse the internet and use your phone to find information about abortion and reproductive health, many watch what we do online and use our phones to track what we do. Large companies – including Google, Facebook, Amazon, your cell phone service provider, your Internet service provider, and apps – keep records of our data. These records are not only used by advertisers that track our every move, but have also been repeatedly and inappropriately accessed and used by government and political actors. Learn how to protect yourself and your community in these slides, which include images from our Guide to Abortion and Pregnancy Privacy and our Know Your Cyber Civil Rights Pigeon zine.

Be sure to check out Reproaction’s website, where you can sign up for future webinars from Reproaction and watch previous webinars to learn more about fake clinics, abortion access in the United States, and other reproductive health topics!
