What do we do?
Digital Defense Fund was started in 2017 in response to the increased requests for digital security resources, education, and services in the abortion access space. We work hand in hand with our grantees as partner, funder, and service provider to help achieve these goals.
Our team is composed of organizers, engineers, designers, and trainers, each with our own personal connection to and involvement in abortion access work, including abortion funds and practical support networks. We use our multidisciplinary background to help your organization navigate the many security considerations and tools that are out there, and to help you find solutions that will let you spend more time focused on your important work.
DDF can provide security evaluations, support for resulting recommendations, training for your whole team, and special resources and facilitation to help the stakeholders in your organization codify your preferred tech security policies and procedures. These services are free to qualifying nonprofit organizations in the abortion access space.

Our Process
Get In Touch.
Our work starts with an introduction, either from a peer, a funder, or from the contact form on this site. We'll usually have an intro call to talk more about what's on your mind. This will help us figure out if we can help you with a short term need, long term project, or a referral.
Define the Project.
Together we figure out the best next step. Are you ready to jump into our digital security evaluation? Want to start with a training? Should we arrange a call with your IT vendor? We’ll work with you to get the project defined and started.
Keep on Track.
We've developed tools to track the changes you need to make to improve your team skills, processes, and technology. Whether it's a quick fix or a year of tackling tasks one at a time, we'll be with you to help the process stay on track.
If we're not the right service provider to meet your needs, we'll try to figure out who is.
